Out of the 3 rolls I tried, the Aphrodite (dipped in soy sauce) was my favorite. She was warm and attentive (without being too much), helped me with my choices and made some recommendations... I didn't even know Spicy Ponzu sauce was a thing until she recommended it. And whoa... If you haven't tried it, slide the soy sauce to the side and give it a whirl. Okay, the sushi. Y'all know I'm a sushi snob. Try the He-Roll. Don't overthink it. Just do it and thank me later. Also had the yellowtail and shrimp tempura rolls, which were fresh and yummy. It was not that chewy, cold, made an hour ago tempura some places try to pull off. Good stuff all around. Apparently there is a happy hour that I missed by 30 minutes, so call ahead and ask! And ask for Kylie if she's working. She'll help you make good choices! ”

“ I went to Ichiban for the first time in a few months and it was just as good as ever! I frequently go here when I'm in the mood for dinner and it seriously never disappoints. Our waiter was friendly and attentive and made our experience great! My boyfriend and I ordered the maki sushi platter and the sushi platter which were so delicious and fresh! They give such big portions for their price and I seriously can't complain. Their prices may seem a bit higher, but the quality and the quantity are definitely worth it. We also ordered the baked salmon appetizer for the first time and it was sooo unique and a must try! Ichiban has always been one of my go-to sushi spots in BR and it will continue to be one with how great it always is! ”

“ My mom and I went there for lunch. We had made reservations (for the hibachi grill) which is recommended! The ambiance is nice..somewhat of dim lighting. They had a nice music selection playing. The food was great! We had the vegetable spring rolls which were really good! We had the hibachi and it was great. The Chef was really nice and our waiter was great! The hibachi service didn't start right away but when he came it was pretty fast! This is always a treat for us! I recommend going here for great sushi and hibachi!! ”

“ Wowwww.... I haven't been here in years, but my late lunch date with my mom yesterday, proved why they have been open for years! Of course you need a reservation for hibach, which we had and we were seated almost immediately after arriving. Our waiter was pleasant and took our drink and food orders. You can order other things outside of hibachi, but just remember you get to order a salad or soup with your hibachi order. We decided to order the Shrimp Tempura roll as a appetizer. For our drinks, my mom had the Margarita and I had the Sour Apple Martini! My only complaint would be that my Sour Apple Martini didn't have a cherry, which is most of the reason I order this drink. The waiter kindly came back with a small plate of cherries, per my request. Unfortunately, they were weirdly shaped and didn't taste all that great (she did let me know this is why one wasn't placed in my drink)! Other than this small detail, the drinks and appetizer was great. Now on to the HIBACHI!!! Our chef was so good!!! We had a small party around the grill, so it was very personal which we enjoyed! The initial lighting of the grill got us so excited! The level of skill and entertainment was top tier! I have no idea how the chef can cook, entertain, and talk at the same time. The food that came off the grill was seasoned, flavorful, and just absolutely delicious!!! We ordered the Miso soup (delicious), the Steak and Shrimp hibachi (hurt yesterday good)! I mean I have no idea why I haven't had hibachi more often than your standard Chinese food! We stuffed ourselves while thoroughly enjoying our chef! Now the food was so good that we had to order food to go! And I had another martini! Needless to say, we could have been rolled out of there we were so stuffed! Highly recommend this place! We will be back ASAP!! ”
